Napa, California and “The Maestro”

When someone says "Napa", people think "wine", but that hasn't always been the case. Some of the best wines in the world come from Napa, California, USA, but before Andre Tchelistcheff, that wasn't the case. France's reign as the champion of wines ended in 1976 with a blind taste testing pitting their best against our American wines from Napa. In a controversial decision, Napa won, setting the stage for a rivalry that continues to this day.
